In a 10-15 minute phone call, we’ll gather your information, answer questions, and discuss the best program for you. We may ask to work with your primary care provider to get lab results and medical information to us to help determine the appropriate level of care.
Assessment
We'll schedule a clinical evaluation where an admissions counselor will assess your needs and explain our programs. If we have your medical info, we’ll expedite your care plan. We’ll review with our medical team and confirm your insurance benefits and any costs.
Finalizing your care plan
Once we finalize a plan together, we’ll work with your insurance for treatment authorization. With your permission, we may contact your outpatient providers for additional information and follow up with you to confirm the details.

Common questions about the admissions process
During a quick, confidential 15-minute call, our admissions team will gather your basic information and explain the following steps, typically including ordering blood work, verifying coverage, and setting up an evaluation process.
Our admissions team will walk you through each step of the process however, helpful forms to have handy include labs for your provider to order, a release of information, medical evaluation, and State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination.
We strongly recommend that you get your labs drawn 48-24 hours before your evaluation through Quest Diagnostics, your primary care physician, or a hospital. Our admissions team will send an order to your preferred provider when you schedule your evaluation. Having lab results before evaluation shortens the wait time for determining your level of care. If your primary care physician or other provider completes your labs, they can fax the results to 305-424-7448.
Please be aware that the cost of your labs is not included in the Monte Nido evaluation. Depending on your insurance, the coverage of tests may vary depending on whether they are completed through your primary care physician or an independent lab. If you have questions about your coverage and potential cost, please contact your insurer and the office completing your lab work.
The clinical evaluation typically takes 60 to 90 minutes over a virtual call and includes a review of lab findings, an intake interview, and a clinical assessment. At the evaluation, we will ask for insurance information to verify benefits, and the clinician will authorize care at the level recommended by the evaluation team. At this time, the clinician may also contact your outpatient providers with your permission to collect medical history.
