Monte Nido, a leading provider of eating disorder treatment in the U.S., today announced the appointment of Andy Blankemeyer as its new CEO. In his new role, Blankemeyer will help guide the organization into its next phase of growth and clinical excellence.
Blankemeyer previously served as the CEO of OrthoAlliance since its founding in 2019. During his tenure, he led a rapid expansion of the organization where it became one of the largest physician practice management organizations in the country with over 200 physicians and over 2,500 team members. He has a deep understanding of leading large healthcare organizations with a major focus on increasing access to high quality clinical care while maintaining and improving operational excellence, making him uniquely positioned to lead Monte Nido.
“I am honored to lead Monte Nido at this pivotal time,” said Blankemeyer. “The organization’s innovative care model and deep commitment to healing has transformed the lives of countless individuals. As we look to the future, I’m excited to work alongside our talented team to expand our services to even more communities and ensure that we continue providing the best life-saving treatment for those struggling with eating disorders.”
As part of Monte Nido’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its leadership team, the organization is pleased to announce the addition of Christina Mainelli and Scott Sasserson to its Board of Managers. Christina Mainelli is the former CEO of Quartet Health, a leading value-based behavioral healthcare enablement and delivery company, until its recent sale to NeuroFlow in February 2025, and the former Chief Growth Officer of Beacon Health Options (now Carelon Behavioral Health), a national behavioral health management company, which was sold to Anthem, Inc. (now Elevance Health) in March 2020. Scott Sasserson is the CEO of Promises Behavioral Health, a leading national provider of residential and outpatient mental health and substance use treatment, and the former CEO of Granite Recovery Centers, one of the largest substance abuse rehabilitation providers in the Northeast.
“Christina and Scott bring a wealth of behavioral health experience to the Board,” said Andy Blankemeyer. “Christina’s background in tech-enabled care delivery and behavioral health enablement, along with Scott’s leadership in providing mental health care and substance use treatment, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our services, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen our ability to provide life-saving top quality care to individuals with eating disorders.”
Monte Nido remains steadfast in its mission to challenge harmful norms and eradicate eating disorders. The organization is deeply committed to supporting its network of healthcare professionals across the 28 states it serves and will continue to prioritize its mission of hope, healing, and recovery.
Blankemeyer will officially succeed Cassie McLean as CEO starting March 31, 2025.
Cassie McLean has served as CEO since November 2022, and during her tenure, she led Monte Nido through a period of significant growth, expanding its reach to serve more than 12,000 clients across 50 locations and virtually nationwide.
