Dr. Nicole Christian-Brathwaite, MD is a double Board-Certified Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, nationally recognized for her expertise in perinatal and post-partum mental health, trauma-informed care, telepsychiatry, mental health in communities of color, school psychiatry, and racism in healthcare. Dr. Christian-Brathwaite completed her adult and child psychiatric training at Massachusetts General and Mclean Hospital, where she led the Organization of Minority Residents and Fellows and conducted extensive behavioral health research in West Africa. Dr. Christian-Brathwaite is the Chief Psychiatric Advisor and Board Member for the Pro-Football Hall of Fame Health and member of the Board of Directors for the Post-Partum Depression Fund of Massachusetts. Dr. Christian-Brathwaite is frequently featured in the Boston Globe, NPR, NY Times, The Roland Martin Show, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and numerous podcasts. She has delivered Grand Rounds at MGH, Mayo Clinic, University of Kansas, Einstein Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, and many others.
Dr. Christian-Brathwaite is a graduate of the American Medical Women’s Association ELEVATE Certificate in Leadership Program and The Women’s Wellness Through Equity and Leadership Program sponsored by the APA and ACP. Dr. Christian-Brathwaite spent the last 6 years working as a senior leader in the start-up health and technology space developing evidence-based quality improvement initiatives, building diverse medical and clinical teams, addressing heath equity, and supporting the advancement and implementation of new products and operations. Prior to that, Dr. Christian-Brathwaite served as the Medical Director of a large Community Mental Health Clinic in Massachusetts.
When not working, Dr. Christian-Brathwaite enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two very energetic sons.
