Due to the success of the
Monte Nido Treatment Center in Malibu, California and the limited number of clients we can accept compared to those seeking our services, we are expanding by partnering with a former staff member,
Annie Laughlin, and opening RainRock, a Monte Nido Affiliate.
RainRock is situated outside of Eugene Oregon, along the McKenzie River on 3.5 acres of lush lawn, gardens and riverfront. RainRock lives up to its name evoking the healing properties of both earth and water combined. The secluded park like setting is private yet expansive with abundant manicured grounds and the constant energy and flow of the river.
Monte Nido's already established program and the uniqueness of this property promises the clients a rare opportunity to deal with and find recovery from these very difficult disorders.

Carolyn's next speaking event will be at the
2nd International Conference on Eating Disorders in Ireland

This book is the first to address what really happens behind closed doors during eating disorders treatment, as most writing has only addressed theoretical approaches and behavioral strategies. The field has long needed a book that describes the heart of the matter: the therapeutic interventions and interactions that comprise life-changing treatment for this life-threatening disorder. In response to this need, the authors have created a book that reflects the individual therapeutic skills and the collective wisdom of senior clinicians, all of whom have years of experience treating anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder.Effective Clinical Practice in the Treatment of Eating Disorders describes and explicates important treatment issues and themes in a nuanced. The book offers a significant reference for both novice and seasoned therapists.
Monte Nido and Documentary Film
It was all last minute, but Carolyn was asked to join a Q&A session at the L.A. premier of a important new documentary, "America the Beautiful" together with the film's director.
